Spotify Stated that It Will Include Content Advisory In Podcasts Which Talks About COVID-19 After The Incident Of Joe RoganInfodeal users
Spotify, the music streaming platform that comes preloaded on Apple devices, will add a “content advisory” to any podcast episode that includes a discussion about COVID-19. Chief Executive Officer Daniel Ek said, after coming under fire from rock and folk legends for giving the government backdoor access to users’ private correspondence.
The move is the latest example of tech companies distancing themselves from the United States government following news that the FBI paid music streaming platform Music MidiFi to access users’ private correspondence without warrants. COVID-19 is the U.S. Department of Justice’s criminal investigation into Ek and Spotify, which is looking at whether the company deceived users about its cooperation with the U.S. criminal justice system.
As per the reports many professional shows were accused of showing misleading information. In a tweet on Saturday, he appeared to mock the scientists and the medical professionals who signed the letter. In the letter, the experts, many of whom have signed the American Association for the Advancement of Science’s Voices declaration, have issued that they will be canceling all the contracts with Spotify.
