Reliance Jio Overtakes 20-year-Old Telecom Provider in the Broadband MarketInfodeal users
Reliance Jio has overtaken one of the oldest telecom Service providers as the prime telecom facilities provider. As per the telecom endorsers report sent off by the telecom controller Trai, Jio currently drives the fixed-line broadband stage with an estimated 4.34 million customers.
Reliance Jio’s purchase of the fixed-line base reached 4.34 million from 4.16 million in October. BSNL’s purchaser base declined to 4.2 million from 4.72 million in the same month. Bharti Airtel’s broadband purchaser base remained at 4.08 million.
As per the reports, Jio started a modern carry-out of its fixed-line broadband service, JioFibre, in September 2019. However, Jio started without any preparation, BSNL had 8.69 million wired broadband customers in September 2019 which reduced to lower than half in November 2021. Jio is all set to start its new venture called jio phone and will be soon rolling out its new jio phone. However, the launch is estimated to be in the coming months of November 2022.
