Google Will Reportedly Invest $ 1 Billion To Help Expand India’s Digital Atmosphere In partnership With Airtel.

Airtel and Google have been in talks for quite some time now. The telecom company has offered Google a sum of Rs. 20,000 Crore, about $3 Billion, to invest in the telecom company. The amount is more than double the amount that Google invested in Jio in 2016.
“Digital payments and data solutions business” to be a part of the search giant’s portfolio of businesses. The company will reportedly invest over $ 1 billion (about Rs 6,500 crore) in Airtel, the country’s largest telecom player, over the next three to five years, as part of the tie-up.
In the first quarter of 2019, Google and Airtel, whose parent company has invested in Jio, are said to have entered into a “strategic partnership” to work together in India and make a bid to enter the mobile money market. Google will reportedly invest $1 billion to help expand India’s digital atmosphere in partnership with Airtel, the country’s largest mobile operator.
The partnership will add and develop a greater future opportunity for the growth of the digital atmosphere in India adding to the development of the telecom sector and the information technology.
