CERT-IN Gives Warning. Google Chrome Users Should Be AlertInfodeal users
Google Chrome users are at high risk due to the weak security system currently detected in the browsers. The news was confirmed by the Ministry Of Electronics and Information Technology(MEIT). The Indian Computer Emergency Response Team has also stated that it is a matter of concern as the Google browser is the most used browser around the world and that makes it more vulnerable to such cyber activities due to increased customer and data traffic.
The reports suggested that the attack might have a chance of damaging some data and it is due to the weakness in the security system of the browser. The bugs are also identified as the cause of cyber security theft. The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology is highly concerned about the matter. Google chrome is identified with several security loopholes and according to the security rankings of the Computer Emergency response Team, it is ranked as Highly vulnerable to outside data theft.
It is speculated that the hackers will be performing the hacking activity to the later version of google chrome. The reason behind the expected cyber attack has also been detected. They are the settings of the reader mode, feature of screen capture, payment facilities, and window dialogue available for the consumers. The inappropriate pointer locks and extension platforms are also the reason for the warning of cyber attacks.
However, there has been a relief signal given by the Google authorities as all the security theft measures are taken for the cyber attack and Google has ensured that the bugs are corrected and has provided the updates. The users will have to update their software in order to get advanced security measures. macOS and Linux users will also be given the benefit of the update.
